Sharing a recipe
Send a recipe to someone, or copy it to another of your households.
Send a recipe to a person
- Open Meals Detail and tap the meal.
- At the top of Edit Meal, tap the share icon.
- Type their email address and tap Send.
They are asked first, and the recipe goes into their meals only if they say yes. It only reaches people who already have a Dish Cycle account, and you are not told whether an email has one.
When someone shares a recipe with you
- Next time you open Dish Cycle, a box says who shared which recipe, and how many ingredients it has.
- If you have more than one household, choose which one it goes into.
- Tap Add to my meals to keep it, No thanks to turn it down, or Later to be asked again.
You get the ingredients, the photo, the recipe link and the notes. Ratings, planned days and meals-had history stay with the person who shared it.
Copy to another of your households
- Tap the share icon in Edit Meal.
- Under Copy to my other household, pick the household and tap Copy.
- It is added right away, with no question, because both households are yours.
This lists only households you own. To give a recipe to a household someone else owns, send it to their email: they are asked first.
